1. Decide on a length of time that is suitable for your family and situation. For example, for a moderately-sized family home, start at least 3 weeks before the date of your move.
2. Decide in what order you’ll pack each room: What room will you pack first? What room will you pack last? If you have a garage, will that be the last area that is packed? Remember: give this some thought before you start packing; it will reduce your moving stress. We recommend that you make a list of the areas that need to be packed in order of priority and then pack one room or one area at a time as the most efficient way to pack.
3. When considering where to start first, we suggest you start with the room or area that is used the least and work up to the room that is used the most. Remember a garage is like a room.
4. Medicines, special documents, and other essential items, such as those that you use daily, should be packed last.
These procedures will take a lot of time and energy, to plan and organize. However, if you lack that time and energy to pack your home, we have professionals you can hire to help you who will use our time-tested packing services.
